I think what console gets more push from GTA IV is up for grabs. You can argue for both sides.
But the fact is, 360 has a larger install base so the game is gonna sell more copies on XBOX 360.
IGN is full of gamers who probably already have a console. So this poll is not surprising.
Even pachter says GTA IV will sell about 2-1 on XBOX 360. No shock there.
What if we get some good news today, and it might be true. But because of Aprils. Nobody is gonna know what's real today.

When people mention Final Fantasy XIII, why do they forget that it has a cousin called Final Fantasy Versus XIII? It's also a major game, have you seen the trailer? Some people like it even more than FFXIII.

PS3 fans are saying "cool" to the good news. It's XBOX 360 fans that are the ones who are writing more thoughtful defenses in my opinion. When they show a preview of killzone 2 or Resistance 2 which you know looks badass. It's always more fun to see what the XBOX 360 ...
This story is so good. It deserves to be covered twice. The first time I didn't get to comment till the very end.
Me personally, I'm more skeptical than Pachter. I think 360 has gained a lot of ground in the US and a lot of people now see XBOX 360 as the console with it's XBOX live and achievments.
Then you add that 360 is probably gonna be more affordable. which to me is the big key. And then you got the PS3 who many still relate GTA to Playstation and its gaining momentum with games like Gran Turismo prologue and MGS4 close by also.
In the end I'm not sure either is really...
But the truth is, I probably need to get rid of one. I'm thinking of getting rid of the XBOX 360.
I'll miss Mass Effect 2 that's my favorite game on XBOX 360.
The PS3 is getting a lot of hype right now it seems. Maybe for good reason, it has a lot of popular games still to come like Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Killzone 2, Resistance 2 and much more still not announced.

I think that's the problem, no new information in a long time and no release information. So people don't see the game as a reality just yet.
why do people have to pick on Killzone 2? I guess it had a disappointing showing at E3. Everyone lied, they said good things but they were really thinking letdown.

Finally PS3 has a real gamers controller again. PS3 is getting back into the game.
The biggest problem with the sixaxis was how hallow and fragile it felt. It felt like it was gonna split in two pieces.
Now every PS3 should be packed with the Dualshock 3. No future PS3 adapters should have to face the sixaxis.

I would imagine that GTA IV will be a game that people will be playing all year long. Considering, it's good enough and lives up to the hype. That's still a question, I mean Halo 3 kinda didn't and it was hyped even more than GTA IV.
